Ten years after this publication, author Thomas Barbour became director of the Museum of Comparative Zoology at Harvard University. From the library of herpetologist Richard D. Worthington with his signature on the title and with his annotations in the text. According to a note on the last endpaper, Worthington acquired the book from bookseller Eric Lundberg on January 25, 1966. Rare work in the original printing. Light edge wear to cloth at the head and foot of the spine, title page lightly soiled, small crease to outer bottom corner of the first few pages, page of type-written annotations by Worthington bound in at page 116, additional annotations on pages 83-92, and on pages 169 and 173; overall a tight copy in very good condition..
