Lachner who was curator of fishes at the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History for 34 years; his name-stamp and signature appear on the front wrapper and on title page. There is a bump to the top rear outer corner and the paper is worn at the base of the spine; a bright and clean copy in near fine condition..
