Publisher's original dark brown cloth, lettered in gilt on the spine and with gilt panel lines, the front and rear covers have border decorations stamped in blind, 8vo. This work discusses the breeding and care of trout, salmon, shad, and other fishes. Signature of A. W. Gowen, Inland Fish and Game Warden for the state of Maine dated July 25, 1897 on one front endpaper; another endpaper bears the name stamp of A. W. Gowen, Esq. No other ownership marks and almost no signs of use. A small nick to the top of the rear board; a very bright and clean copy in near fine condition..
