Size: 27,4 x 36,8 cm (each). “La Fileuse” [the spinner] and “La Brodeuse” [the embroiderer] show young women seated under a chestnut at a spinning wheel, working on the production of thread and seated with a frame, embroidering a piece of fabric. These lovely images are characterized by flowing lines, stylized forms, and organic motifs, typical of the Art Nouveau style. The use of vibrant colors and intricate patterns add to the overall aesthetic appeal of the work. Belgian artist Henri Privat-Livemont (1863-1936) was a prominent figure in the Art Nouveau movement and is best known for his decorative posters and illustrations. He studied at the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts in Brussels and later worked as a commercial artist, creating advertising posters for various companies. His work was highly influential in the development of the Art Nouveau movement and he is widely recognized for some of the best examples of Art Nouveau graphic design. His many posters, often awarded, made him the Belgian Alphonse Mucha. Price: Euro 1.850,- (set of two)
