While initially focusing on counterculture, the paper covered politics, environment, women's rights and other issues with a left wing perspective. Some of its writing would serve to influence local politics and policy after their journalism exposed corruption in government or business. This issue with pieces on local politics and issues, including conflicts surrounding the boat harbor in Bellingham; a piece on Nixon; Latin American social scene; an underground comic featuring Dog, Duck and Rat, being counterculture counterparts of well known Disney characters; a one page "comic" on the Adventures of Ward, following a Pfc in the Vietnam War, etc. GOOD condition. Horizontal fold crease present. Moderate browning to the paper. Minor chipping and tearing along the extremities. General light wrinkling to the paper. Minor foxing. Good .
