A single issue of this radical, counterculture underground newspaper from Berkeley, California, formed after a split with the Berkeley Barb over labor issues. The Tribe embraced more radical and left-wing causes. This issue with a look at the trial of the Chicago 8; the efforts to free Huey Newton; a centerfold spread of photos of the members of the Black Panthers, with poetry and the Black Panther anthem (photos include those of children enjoying breakfast and Kathleen Cleaver in a doorway with a shotgun), etc. GOOD condition. Horizontal fold crease present. Moderate uneven browning. Minor soiling. Some chipping, creasing and tearing along the fore edge. Good .
