Single issue of this underground newspaper embracing radical, left wing and socialist causes (with a Marxist-Leninist bent). Originating as the Temple Free Press at Temple University it evolved from a college newspaper to a radical paper under the editorship of Bill Baggins. This issue with news on the murder of Black Panther Party leader, Fred Hampton, by police (with a photo of Mr. Hampton); a workers' strike at GE (General Electric); A short piece on the reclamation of Alcatraz Island by members of the Native American community, indicating they were prepared for an invasion by federal forces; a protest against the draft by Puerto Ricans in Puerto Rico, etc. GOOD condition. Moderate toning to the paper. Horizontal fold crease present. Minor tearing along the fore and top edge. Good .
