Single issue of this long running newspaper devoted to counterculture, music and social issues. It was established in 1969, evolving along the way to focus on hippie, drug culture and counterculture subjects. It is still published today. This issue with an essay on homophobia in the New Jersey area; reforming pot laws; an article comparing male and female rock stars, highlighting the feminism and empowering nature of Janis Joplin in the face of sexism in rock music; a short ad on events at the noted New York City nightclub Max's Kansas City, etc. GOOD condition. Moderate toning, minor soiling and a few small areas of staining. Minor chipping, tearing and creasing along the extremities. First and last page with a 2 inch tear in their fore edge margins. A few blue ink tick marks in the classified section. Good .
