Side stapled journal. 8 ½ by 11 inches. 51 pp. A few black and white photos throughout, depicting Native Americans from various tribes, including the Turok of California. Indians At Work was a publication that was started to show the work of the Civilian Conservation Corps Indian Division. It was published from 1933 to 1945. This issue with a variety of short articles, including "The New Flathead Tribal Council;" "Stone Towers of New Mexico and Arizona'" etc. Many articles bear a tone that views Native Americans and their culture of a sort of novelty. GOOD condition. Heavy dampstaining along the left edge of the journal, with moderate offsetting along the spine and fore edge. Light dampstaining along the other edges. Minor soiling and toning. Just a hint of dampstaining along the top edge of the interior. Good .
