Single issue of this underground newspaper embracing radical, left wing and socialist causes (with a Marxist-Leninist bent). Originating as the Temple Free Press at Temple University it evolved from a college newspaper to a radical paper under the editorship of Bill Baggins. This issue with a few short pieces on police violence and repression under the leadership of Philadelphia Mayor Rizzo. This includes the murder of Harold Brown by police. Another short piece looks at the imprisonment of two Black Panther Party members who attended a meeting between the Black Student League and the principal at the Malcolm X High School. After being kicked out of the meeting, they were arrested by Philadelphia police. GOOD condition. Moderate toning to the paper. Horizontal fold crease present. Small tear to the upper front cover. Good .
