A broadside newsheet, being an underground publication issued by the Juche Collective. The collective organized in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1969, embracing left wing causes and serving as an ally to the Black Panther Party. The paper adopted the North Korean principle of Juche, one that strove toward self-sufficiency and autonomy. A quote on Juche by Kim Il Sung is printed on the rear masthead. It appears the group disbanded around 1974. This piece contains many short articles relating to local and national news, including violence and oppression committed by the police. The reverse discusses the creation and adoption of a new constitution that abandons doctrines of white supremacy for those that support all people. GOOD condition. Horizontal and vertical fold creases present. Small tear/hole at the intersection of the folds, with minor loss of text. Minor toning. Some wrinkling and creasing. A few small tears along the extremities. Good .
