A newspaper presumably issued by Black Panther Party sympathizers ahead of the trial of Black Panther leader Bobby Seale and Ericka Huggins. Arrested for alleged ties to the execution/murder of a Black Panther Party member suspected of being an FBI informant, the trial was held in New Haven. With jury selection scheduled to begin in May of 1970, several organizations planned a rally in support of the Panthers on May Day (May 1st). This newspaper contains several pieces on the upcoming trial and Bobby Seale, an article on prison by the Black Panther Party, a look at police brutality and "pig" power, a map of New Haven showing first aid stations and telephones, etc. GOOD condition. Horizontal fold crease present. General toning. Some chipping and tearing along the fore edge. Good .
