Used from 1918 by various branches of the US military, the air station was attacked nine minutes earlier than Pearl Harbor in World War II. This issue with news on Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service (WAVES) at the station, including a few photos, as well as news on a women's bowling league, etc. Rear page a continuation of an account of survival at sea after the sinking of the Juneau. FAIR condition. Two hole punches along the left edge. Heavy toning to the paper. All pages essentially detached from each other, with the last leaf having a 1 ¼ inch gouge, resulting in some loss of text. Minor staining to the last leaf. Over all rather fragile. Fair .
