Single issue of this long running journal devoted to African-American news, culture and entertainment. Jet was noted for its documentation of the Civil Rights movement and the murder of Emmett Till. This issue with a piece on Black Panther Party leader Eldridge Cleaver seeking an exchange of imprisoned Black Panther Party members for American prisoners of war in Vietnam; an article on the loosening of marijuana/drug laws and how that would have benefited many Black musicians, but appeared to be for the benefit of white youth then starting to experiment with drugs; news on Angela Davis, discussing the failure of UCLA in trying to fire her because she was a communist. Politics, sports and fashion also included. GOOD condition. Mailing label on the front cover. General toning, minor soiling, scuffing and wrinkling. Some scuffing and curling along the extremities. A few pages creased in the interior. Good .
