Established in 1964, the paper was known for its coverage of the counterculture movement and radical politics, as well as its strong anti-Vietnam War stance. Financial and staffing troubles led to its eventual demise in 1978. This issue with many pieces on the Vietnam War and anti-war protests; undercover cops infiltrating protests; Jerry Rubin on his support of McGovern; a full page illustration by LeRoy Seay, etc. GOOD condition. Moderate general browning. Paper slightly brittle. Wrinkling and creasing along the extremities, with minor tearing. Horizontal fold crease present. Minor soiling. Dn in pencil on the front cover. Good .
