A single issue of this radical, counterculture underground newspaper from Berkeley, California, formed after a split with the Berkeley Barb over labor issues. The Tribe embraced more radical and left wing causes. An early issue, similar in style to the Barb and not yet quite as "radical" as it would become. This issue with many editorials on left wing/radical causes; a photo of Eldridge and Kathleen Cleaver; news on John Sinclair being sentenced to 10 years in prison; a somewhat psychedelic centerfold poster, etc. GOOD condition. Horizontal fold crease present. Minor browning and soiling. Small faint yellow stain at the upper right corner. Good .
