A later issue of this pioneering underground newspaper, known as the Freep. Established in 1964, the paper was known for its coverage of the counterculture movement and radical politics, as well as its strong anti-Vietnam War stance. Financial and staffing troubles led to its eventual demise in 1978. This issue with the "Notes of a Dirty Old Man" column by Charles Bukowski (in the classified section); part four of a look at the origins of the Symbionese Liberation Army, including an interview with one of their hostages. GOOD condition. Slightly ex-library. Library address label on the front cover, with a few other other library markings present.Moderate general browning. Paper slightly brittle. Minor wrinkling along the extremities. Good .
