Title: Round Table Studies. Second Series. Instalment a, Containing the Introduction and Chapters I and II of Part 1
Description: London, Macmillan and Co, 1912. Hard Cover. Number 804 of an unspecified amount published. Printed paper covered boards. 119 pp. plus several fold out charts and maps in the rear. A work exploring the history, growth and role of the British Empire, asserting that its collapse would destabilize world order. This argument was presumably put forth to support the views of the Round Table Movement, from which this publication was presumably issued. The Round Table Movement began in 1909, and sought to promote stronger ties between Great Britain and its various self-governing colonies. This copy was apparently issued to a C.W. Stanley. GOOD condition. Heavy uneven offsetting, fading and toning to the covers. Binding split along the hinges, making the covers somewhat weakly attached. Minor soiling and edgewear. Some toning in the interior. Good .
