The author endorses Grover Cleveland for president, and castigates many Massachusetts politicians. Sargent was a Whig politician and lawyer, as well as an author and journalist (see Massachusetts Historical Society website). GOOD condition. Vertical fold crease present. General browning. Minor foxing and soiling. Author's name and town written in pencil on the front cover. Diagonal crease to the lower rear cover. Good .
