Description: Chicago, The Werner Company, 1894. Cloth. Brown cloth lettered in black. Oblong folio. 351 pp. Black and white photos throughout. A visual documentation of the 1893 World's Fair in Chicago, documenting exhibits on electricity, mining, machinery, manufacturing, transportation, etc. as well as people from different countries. This includes those from Java, Fiji, Syrians and Egyptians, Samoa, other people from Asia and Africa, etc. GOOD condition. Moderate general fading to the book. Minor to moderate soiling, a few minor stains and small areas of discoloration to the covers. Some bumping and fraying to the extremities. Interior solid and clean, with the paper toned. Last 35 pages with faint dampstaining along the upper and fore edges, resulting in several of the pages being STUCK together in that area, although they look to be easily unstuck. A few pages with minor tears at the fore edges. Good/No Jacket.
