With several lengthy introductory chapters on the history of Prussia, chronicling its rise to power and the reigns of various rulers, including Frederick I and II, among others. Also included are several chapters on the Napoleonic Wars and Napoleon's campaign in Austria, Egypt and elsewhere. One of Germany's most popular queens, she was noted for her active role in the Prussian government, even attempting to negotiate terms with Napoleon after Prussia's losses to France in the Napoleonic wars. With several lengthy introductory chapters on the history of Prussia, chronicling its rise to power and the reigns of various rulers, including Frederick I and II, among others. With several chapters on the Napoleonic Wars. GOOD+ condition. Uneven fading and darkening to the leather on the spine, with volume 2 being a bit lighter in color. Minor fading and rubbing to the cloth. Small ink stain to the rear of volume one. Moderate to heavy scuffing along the extremities and hinges, with the leather being rather worn in places. The tail of the spine of volume 1 is bumped and chipped. Interiors clean and solid with minor toning to the paper. Good/No Jacket.
