Oblong folio. 316 pages. With black and white illustrations. ALL TEXT IN French. A primarily pictorial history of Louis the Fourteenth, the so-called Sun King, and the life and times of those who lived during his reign, drawing on art and material contemporary to the time. GOOD condition. General fading. Mostly minor soiling, heavier along the extremities, with an area of staining/scuffing to the upper rear cover. Heavy scuffing to the extremities and leather, especially at the corners and hinges. Interior hinges cracked. Text block with toning to the paper and minor scattered soiling. Good/No Jacket.
