A classic children's work, written by Hoffmann in an effort to teach children proper behavior and the possible consequences of misbehavior. Ornate titling on the front cover with publisher's ads on the rear cover. In FAIR condition Backstrip MISSING from the spine resulting in the covers being very weakly attached to the text block. Minor to moderate soiling and moderate to heavy uneven darkening to the covers. Extremities bumped and scuffed, mostly to the corners. General minor darkening to the interior with minor scattered soiling. Two short tears to the fore edge margins of two pages. Fair/No Jacket.
