Quarter teal blue cloth with silver spine lettering and grey paper over boards, pictorial dust jacket. 311pp. Near fine/near fine. Top page edges spotted; jacket a tad age toned. Handsome and tight third printing (first state d.j.) of the Canadian novelist's dystopian vision, basis for the 1990 film and the popular television series -- and bearing fun autograph additions from each of these: Tipped to front flyleaf is a fine, heavy stock 5" X 3" card signed boldly at center in blue ballpoint by REED BIRNEY (born 1954), who dates it 11 February 1981 at upper right. Tipped in facing the half-title page is a fine matching card signed boldly at center in black ballpoint by DAVID DUKES (1945-2000), who dates it 10 December 1979 at upper right. Dukes plays a doctor in the film version. Laid in are the ideal bookmarks: Birney and Dukes' original transmittal envelopes. .
