Gates (1914-93, noted Lincoln/Civil War scholar). Near fine. Faint original folds. On "Columbia Broadcasting System" letterhead (he was first television director for CBS News), the polymath author/editor/cultural critic/director/dramatist (1893-1970) thanks an admirer for birthday greetings.
