Title: Lost in the Blizzard; or, the Snow-Bound School Boys
Description: New York, Frank Tousey, Publisher, 1907. Paperback. March 27, 1907 edition (No. 460) of "Pluck and Luck: Complete Stories of Adventure." 4to. Pictorial color wrappers.290pp, (3pp ads). Good plus. Outer wrappers faintly soiled and mildly edgeworn; inner text pages moderately age toned and a bit delicate as usual. Attractive issue of this adventure weekly. Chromolithograph front wrapper shows an old-fashioned one-room schoolhouse, the school master out cold on the floor while a bear and a pistol-wielding law man face off over him; a ladder leads to the attic, from where the faces of several children peer down in fright. Caption below reads: "He drew the revolver out of Mr. Worthington's hand, and took careful aim at the bear. Seeing Frank, the animal reared on his hind legs, and uttered a fierce growl. The ominous roar of the bear echoed through the school-room." Bright, colorful front wrapper graphics. A far better than average dime novel (actually, "Price 5 Cents") or "penny dreadful," with text printed in two columns. .
