BERTREW, Berton - Nobody's Son, or the Strange Fortunes of a Smart Boy

Title: Nobody's Son, or the Strange Fortunes of a Smart Boy
Description: New York, Frank Tousey, Publisher, 1912. Paperback. February 21st, 1912 edition (No. 716) of "Pluck and Luck: Stories of Adventure." 4to. Pictorial color wrappers. 28pp, (3pp ads). Very good. Bit age toned about edges; inner text pages mildly and evenly age toned as usual, free of the edge tears and chips that plague most dime novels. Handsome, tight issue of this adventure weekly. Corny chromolithograph front wrapper graphic depicts hero George Porter, having knocked a bad guy to the floor, trying to escape from a room with Chinese sayings on the walls as a Chinaman tries to stop him. A far better than average dime novel (actually, "Price 5 Cents") or "penny dreadful," with text printed in two columns. .
