Description: Popular radio-and-records crooner whose easygoing style "invented casual"; from 1948 to 1963 he hosted a hit television show. Signed Postal Cover, 6½" X 3½", cancelled in the city of Como's birth (Canonsburg, Pennsylvania) on the day of his birth (18 May), 1973. Single 8-cent "George Gershwin" stamp at upper right. Fine. At left of center, the crooner boldly signs and inscribes a large "To Paul -- / Best always / Perry Como" in black fineline. A choice inscription on an appropriate music cover, cancelled in an appropriate place on an appropriate date. Clever and unique. .
