Quarto in light brown cloth elaborately decorated in gilt and blue. Illustrated by 23 tipped in color plates (including the frontispiece), protected by relatively heavy captioned tissue guards. The date does not appear in the book, but this date has been well established. Hughes, 35a. This was sold in a publisher's box, not present with this copy. A beautiful production with the best of Dulac's "oriental" influenced illustration. The binding is reasonably sound with the floral endpapers fully intact, endpapers, edges and first and last few pages with some foxing, else a very good copy of a wonderful book.
