Title: Tactique d'Infanterie. Quatre cas concrets vécus avec le 2e bataillon du 82e régiment d'infanterie en cours de guerre de mouvement (Mars-Octobre 1918).
Description: Rio de Janeiro, Imprensa Militar, 1925. Soft cover. Royal octavo. Pp. iv, 200. Plus 16 folded sheets of maps and grid charts, comprising of 7 folding topographical maps, some in colour, and of 9 semitransparent overlays, almost all in colour, superimposing troops' position and tactical changes over time. This material is divided into several sections, each placed in a pocket in its appropriate place within the volume, or tipped-in. Plus one photographic plate, a detailed aerial view of Bois Vigneux. Plus extra folding plate showing schematic troops' position in battle. Original printed wrappers, spine reinforced with paper, old shelf ticket to spine, old military institutional stamps to cover and title; one map frayed along fold. Bit shabby but as a whole in a very good condition ~ Second edition. Fully collated for completeness. This edition, as well as the first, was published by the lesser known publishing house "Imprensa Militair" of Rio de Janeiro. The reason for this choice is unclear. Only the New Edition, (also offered by Librarium), was published in France (Paris, Charles-Lavauzelle, 1932). The present edition includes material which was not included in the New Edition. This is a photographic aerial view of Bois Vigneux and an extra folding plate showing schematic troops' position in battle. It is based on an original document which belonged to a captured German officer. Extremely rare. 004-6 .
