Hardcover, bound in contemporary half-cloth and marbled boards, lettering-piece to spine, spine rubbed and mended for splits, old military institutional stamp to title, title-page bit finger-soiled. Binding is sturdy but not particularly handsome, with front board partly striped off of marbled paper and of cloth corners. However, text block is in fine condition which makes this copy an excellent binding copy. ~ First edition. Billeting tables for billeting men and horses, and numbers of houses and inhabitants of the various communities based on the last decennial census.
