Title-page printed in red & black with vignette. Some leaves heavily stained. Mailorder only - Alleen verzending mogelijk. Book condition : . - First-hand account by the French travelling physician Charles Dellon (1649 - ca.1710). After travelling 6 years in the East, he was denounced to the Inquisition by the Portuguese governor of Daman, after which he was brought to Goa, where he was detained for 2 years. He was subsequently sent to the galleys for five years in Portugal, but later acquitted by the great-inquisitor. The first edition of this book was published in Leyden, in 1687.
