François Vatable (-1547), professor in hebrew language at Paris, is responsible for the restoration of the study of hebrew language in France. This Bible edition, first published in 1545, contains the vulgate version and the one of Léon de Juda. Nicolas Henri, also a professor in hebrew at the College Royal, edited this last edition of the Vatable Bible. It is known for its literary style, criticism, clarity, intelligence and usefullness.
