Probably produced to accompany the film of the same name which was an extended appeal and advert for the coal gas industry and the benefits of using gas for power rather than directly using coal. It outlines the many benefits and by-products of the process including coke, tar and ammoniacal liquor and their uses in the production of dyes, oils, perfumes, essences and medicines including disinfectants, analgesics and laxatives. Probably produced by The Curwen Press.
