Title: Ghost Stories.
Description: Unpublished typescript, [1924] pencil date to title. 4to. pp. [2], 20> 24> 21> 10> 17> 9, 13 [typed and paginated to rectos only]. Contemporary buckram a little marked, two childish pencil drawings, one signed P. Berry, loosely inserted. Signed by the author on the title page and with his St. James's Street bookplate. Containing 7 original ghost stories: The Hobgoblins, A Talkative Ghost, Fluff, a Short-lived Ghost, The Ghostly Joker> The Feathery Sprit and The Biter Bit. I can trace no record of any publication. Charles Walter Berry was a partner in the firm of Berry Brothers, now Berry Bros. & Rudd, a leading London wine merchant with 3 Royal Warrants and premises at 3, St. James's Street. He wrote two books on French wine: Viniana [1929], and In Search if Wine, a Tour of the Vinyards of France [1935].
