Description: Robert Sayer & J. Bennett, c. 1780. Engraving, 355 x 245 mm. a little spotted and with a tiny hole just above the title. Robert Sayer was only partnered with his former apprentice John Bennett for a short time, from the late 1770s until 1785 when the partnership was dissolved due to Bennett's mental state having been admitted to the Brook House Asylum in 1781. This image appears in various form, all are uncommon. This copy is reversed when compared with others traced [see The Lewis Walpole Library Collections].
