Description: 1832. Single sheet, printed and manuscript, 165 x 205 mm. This item may have at some time been mounted and will bear traces on the reverse of adhesive or removal of mounts. One Patrick Chalmers was Sheriff of Forfar from 1769 - 1807> this is possibly his son, the name apparently passing down through several generations. The assessment also includes £38 9s for 9 servants with two overseas> £37. 8s for two dogs and a pack of hounds> and £2 8s for the duty on armorial bearings.
