Description: 20th November, 1845. Printed red and black, and manuscript, 200 x 250 mm. This item may have at some time been mounted and will bear traces on the reverse of adhesive or removal of mounts. Income tax, having been abolished in 1816, was reintroduced in 1842 under Prime Minister Robert Peel for those with incomes over £150. "If you have any Cause to Appeal against the same, your appeal will be heard without notice. The Day of Appeal is fixed for the 11th Day of December 1845 at the Unicorn Inn, Ledbury."
