Description: c. 1900. Cover sheet for box of crackers, 370 x 230 mm. printed in colour. A couple of repairs to the verso. The reverse also bears a small printed label "Cracker contains an article of Fancy Costume or Head Dress." This item may have at some time been mounted and will bear traces on the reverse of adhesive or removal of mounts. Although sold almost exclusively as Christmas crackers nowadays, in the 19th and early 20th century they were marketed for all sorts of occasions.
