A rare survival of a provincially printed broadsheet, probably written by the local landowner at Crondall, Hampshire in response to disturbances over South East England which became known as the Swing Riots. "There is talk of Tithes and Taxes being against the Farmers and Labourers... The rich and thriving are the best friends of the Poor..." "That they have been very inconsiderate and improvident, and brought distress greatly upon themselves by too early marriages, which has increased the population beyond the demand for labour is the case."
