His theory that many cases of nervous affections the cause lay in the obstruction of nervous and sanguineous fluids. "It partakes of neither Homeopathy nor Allopathy. So saying, however, the author would not be thought to speak in disparagement of either. He has had too much experience of both not to know their respective benefits and advantages, though they do not contain the sum of all wisdom in the Therapeutic art."
