Description: London, Printed by Order of the House. 1803, First Edition. Full-Leather, Folio - over 12" - 15" tall. Book measures 17 1/2 x 11 inches.Collation, xii,635,[1]29pp, with 56 engraved plates, mainly folding, 13 partially coloured. Bound in half calf, calf corners, marble boards. Binding rubbed on edges, boards becoming loose, but holding. Generally binding is worn, but in good condition. Internally, library withdrawn stamp and label on endpapers, a few other library stamps, [ about 15 in all ] last plate stamped on verso, [ engraved side free of stamp ], some minor browing or light spotting to a few plates. Pages and plates in good clean condition. This volume contains the full reports, together with plans and diagrams, for the years 1793-1802, during which time the development of the London dock system was first discussed at length and the first docks built. Very Good Plus.
