It is a book full of charm, like all treaties that have blossomed in the late eighteenth and mid nineteenth century, which translated to the people of the technical rules of statics that were beginning to be systematized. No longer just a book of "orders of architecture," based on the proportions of aesthetics, but a treaty in which the proportions of the building resulting from the reasoning of Applied Physics.
