Hard bound, first edition, 16mo, all edges gilt, elaborately gilt-tooled designs to front and rear boards and spine, 350pp. Lengthy gift inscription dated 1859 on front free endpaper. Front endpapers lightly foxed and binding somewhat shaken. Corners bumped and moderately worn with extremities also with light-moderate wear all round. Small portion of front board (perhaps one square inch in total) discolored, probably from water damage - although no normal visual effects of water damage anywhere. 400 grams.
