Description: London, printed by Thomas Baskett, Printer to the King's most Excellent Majesty, and the Assigns of Robert Baskett 1750 [2], 363-375pp 32x21, disbound extract Edges browned and slightly chipped, very good thus for fragile item. The Act established the power to charge rates to pay for the various improvements in this parish on the south side of the Thames between London Bridge and the Royal Docks at Deptford, and sets out the reliefs and penalties to be applied to non-payers, as well as setting out the duties of the watchmen and beadles. The preamble notes the various new major roads being built through the parish, as London started to expand on the south side of the river.
