Fair to poor set - all ex-lib (various), several with marks, large parts of the spine missing from vols III, V and VI, vol VI binding split, boards and cloth edge worn, edges untrimmed, couple of pages uncut but contents generally good. Would rebind nicely. This second edition of Booth's huge undertaking took the original 2 volumes and split them, more or less unaltered, over volumes I to IV, covering Poverty; volumes V to IX were Industry - the final two of which are not present here. The third edition in 1902 added a further seven volumes to cover religion. The famous poverty maps were in a separate unnumbered volume.
