The author, a Professor at the Hannover Hochschule, first discusses ideal city plans; much of the rest of his work describes and analyses road and other land use layouts. There is also much on mass transport systems. A detailed work with much useful technical information. This was a key German city planning text throughout the Weimar and Nazi periods (this edition was considerably modified).
