The book and its contents are in clean, bright condition. The text pages are clean and bright The spine ends of the book covers have some beginning bumping. There is a previous owner's inked name and address on the front pastedown page. (the owner was possibly a professor at Stanford University in the 1920's). Included are 55 pages of plates of black and white photographs, and 4 maps 2 of which are folding maps. The dust jacket is generally clean and bright with the exception of several small edge nicks and tears, especially to the top spine end, along with some rubbing to the flap joints and some ink spots daubed onto the edge wear at the top spine end (possibly by an amateur dust jacket repair artist). There are also several very small pieces of tape that have been adhered to the reverse of the dust jacket at the top spine end by the previous owner.
