Author: [EPHEMERA], [AVIATION] [WEST COAST FLY-IN] Title: Broadside Flier for the Lincoln Air Race
Description: Watsonville, CA: West Coast Antique Fly-In, 1975. Broadside. Color Illustrations; This is an 8 1/2" x 11" illustrated broadside (one sheet, printed on one side only) for the Lincoln Air Race (California). There is some beginning foxing and toning to the edges, along with some small nicks, otherwise, the broadside is clean and bright. Unfortunately, there's no year noted on the flier, but looks to be from the mid 1960's-early 1970's. The race covers Formula -1, Sport Bi-Plane, Bombers, T-6's and unlimited categories. "Air racing is a type of motorsport that involves airplanes or other types of aircraft that compete over a fixed course, with the winner either returning the shortest time, the one to complete it with the most points, or to come closest to a previously estimated time. " (from Wikipedia). Very Good+ .
