This book is in Very Good condition and is lacking the glassine cover. The book is bound in green cloth with gilt lettering and decorations to the front cover and spine of book. The spine of the book has noticeable fading, as do the spine joints. There is one small scratch to the rear cover. The text pages are clean and bright. "I think it prudent to go no nearer to the date, in case what I am writing should take an ill turn or fall into curious hands. I need not be so guarded about the weather. It is a night of sudden blasts that half an hour ago threw my window at me." This book deals with the supernatural and is a quasi-ghost story which has vampiric undertones. "Sir James Matthew Barrie, 1st Baronet, OM (9 May 1860 – 19 June 1937) was a Scottish author and dramatist, the child of a family of small-town weavers, and best remembered today as the creator of Peter Pan. He was educated in Scotland but moved to London, where he developed a career as a novelist and playwright.". Very Good .
